More from the Brown Banks

8 Nov 2018 by Vince Gaffney

Representatives from the Lost Frontiers Project headed over to Utrecht this week for a meeting with Ghent University, the TNO (Dutch Geological Service) and Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) to plan the next stage of the marine expedition to the area of the Brown Bank within the southern North Sea. The Brown Bank project is a multidisciplinary collaboration looking for Mesolithic settlement around the area of the Brown Banks

whilst in Utrecht we also got the opportunity to examine some of the sediment cores taken over targets which were identified during this years survey. Lost Frontiers has a separate set of cores from the banks for study.
