Yorkshire Palaeo Group meeting at Bradford, Wed 19th April

23 Mar 2023 by Dr Philip Murgatroyd

The Yorkshire Palaeo Group will be holding its next meeting at the University of Bradford on Wednesday 19th April at 2pm. This will be a hybrid event, held both in-person and via Microsoft Teams.

The Yorkshire Palaeo Group is an informal network of researchers interested in palaeoecology and palaeoenvironmental change based in Universities across Northern England. Attendees have a range of interests, including geology, archaeology, biology, climatology and many more besides. Its is not restricted to those based in Yorkshire Universities or organisations and has been meeting twice a year since 2015.

The aim is to facilitate palaeoscience discussion between those working in Universities and other organisations across the northern England (mainly) although research topics are not geographically restricted. The YPG provides an opportunity to discuss research and network without the need for expensive travel and conference fees.

Meetings take the form of short presentations followed by discussion. If anyone would like to contribute a short (roughly 15 mins) presentation to this friendly, informal meeting then please contact Phil Murgatroyd via the contact details here:
